L’Art de l’Instant et du Vestige.
Based in the heart of Normandie, my photography is a dual chronicle of social warmth and architectural silence. I document the "Boucheries" with their flaking red paint, the "Sentinels of Stone" perched on frosted graves, and the candid laughter of friends over a midnight cocktail.
There is a specific French term, la nostalgie du présent—the feeling of missing a moment even as you are living it. You see it in the way the "Blue Hour" settles over a village, or in the defiant glint of a gold mosaic hidden in a ceiling. France doesn't hide its scars; it wears them as ornaments.
Whether it’s the monumental strength of the stones in Père Lachaise or the simple, cinematic glow of a market hall at night, the beauty of France lies in its layers.
It is a landscape that encourages you to look closer, to find the "Sentience of the Stone," and to realize that even in the silence of a closed shop, there is a story still breathing

My projects are all ongoing, feel free to check back-in to from time to time

Beyond the silent architecture and the fading shops, there is the life that defines my own. These images are of my wife and our beloved  dog Sprout who sadly passed away in May 2025.  She was the light and the loyalty that traveled every misty road with us.

A record of love, captured in the quiet moments between the shadows.
